HringÞing: a conference regarding immigrants and education at the pre-school, primary, secondary and the tertiary school levels; including continuing education.
The HringÞing will be held at Rúgbrauðsgerðin in Reykjavík, Iceland, on September 14, 2012.
- To create a forum for those who are involved in immigrant education.
- To assess the situation of immigrants at all levels of education.
- To help prioritize projects in the development of immigrant education.
- To become acquainted with exemplary projects in immigrant education at all school levels.
- To identify the priority projects for national and municipal agendas.
Immigrant representatives, teachers, administrators, policy makers and others who are connected to pre-school, primary, secondary and tertiary school levels; including continuing education.
The HringÞing conference is open to all, and free of charge. School workers, parents, students and other interested parties are encouraged to register at the earliest opportunity, as the number of participants is limited.
Presentation of exemplary projects
Participants are given the opportunity to present interesting, practical projects connected to immigrant education. Information on these projects should be received before August 24, 2012.
