1) I start with a nice color picture of clothing. I usually use a transparency to do this. I elicit the vocabulary that I am looking for from the students, review older vocabulary like body parts and colors. Then I introduce more complicated words like spotted, checked and striped.
2) Next I introduce the sentences “I am wearing…” “He is wearing…” “She is wearing…” and start with telling them what I am wearing. Then the class takes over and one by one tells me what they are wearing.
3) At the end of the lesson I tell them that we are going to have a fashion show next lesson and they can bring clothes from home. This gets them very excited and they start thinking about what to wear.
